Jonathan Kantar (right) had been a remodeler on his own for 10 years before teaming up with remodeler Scott Mario to create Sage Builders. The company has been able to do well by doing good: With a commitment to professional service and superior quality, Sage has made an impact on the Boston-metro area with its emphasis on community involvement and green remodeling.
Sage supports local school and community projects, such as helping to install playgrounds and underwriting citywide volunteer service days, when more than 1,000 citizens join to tackle civic projects like cleaning up parks and repainting schools and community centers. Sage is also a loyal supporter of Friends of Boston's Homeless and the Building Materials Resources Center, an organization that takes extra building materials from construction-related businesses and homeowners and makes them available to low-income families.
The environment benefits as well from Sage's values. The company uses “green” products whenever possible. “We're committed to guiding clients to make good choices for themselves and for future generations,” Kantar says.
